Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian minister of trade and industry, Tarek Kabil said that the country’s non-petroleum exports grew in August by $203 million.
Last month, Egypt’s non-petroleum exports increased by 12% year-on-year to $1.9 billion, compared to $1.7 billion for the same period last year, the minister said in a statement on Friday.
Meanwhile, imports declined by nearly 50%, reaching $3 billion down from around $6 billion in August 2016, leading to a decrease in the trade balance deficit by 74% to a total of $1.1 billion, from $4.4 billion for the corresponding period in the year before.
