Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s House of Representatives gave Wednesday a vote of confidence to the government, with a majority of 433 members.
The parliament’s speaker Ali Abdelaal said lawmakers approved the government’s program.
Late in March, Egypt’s Prime Minister Sherif Ismail presented the program to the parliament, saying the government targets to reduce the current budget deficit to 8% from 11.5% of GDP.
He also assured that this target is part of a government program aiming further to raise savings and investment rates for bridging the funding gap, boosting economic growth rate by 6% in two years, and decreasing inflation rate to 9% from11%.
