Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s government will send the final accounts of the state budget for the fiscal year 2014/2015 to the newly-elected parliament for endorsements, said Finance Minister Hani Kadry Dimian.
The timing of budget endorsement is subject to the parliament’s legislative agenda, the minister added, speaking exclusively to Mubasher on the sidelines of a conference held in Cairo.
The Egyptian parliament convened its first session on 10 January.
Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has not ratified yet the financial accounts for last year’s budget, due to claims that it included false figures to narrow deficit, which was negated by the Finance Ministry last week.
