Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt's minister of petroleum Tarek El-Molla said Thursday that the oil sector has paid $2.2 billion in dues in the past three weeks to foreign oil companies operating in Egypt.
Thus, receivables of foreign oil firms decreased to $2.3 billion, the lowest level since 2013, according to a statement.
The minister stressed that paying these dues encourages foreign investors to pump more investments to raise the production rates and secure the country's needs of petroleum products and natural gas.
