Egypt pens 14 oil, gas deals since March

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt signed 14 oil and gas agreements with major companies from March to October, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El-Molla, said.

In addition, the country is currently implementing three petroleum refining projects with investments of $5.7 billion which would help the country achieve self-sufficiency in petroleum products by 2023, according to a statement on Monday.

Despite the demand shock that hit the oil and gas industry in 2020, Egypt has been on track to achieve its investment plans and objectives, thanks to the reforms carried out in the last years, El-Molla noted.
