Egypt pens MoU with Japan’s largest bank to foster investments

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Japan’s largest bank MUFG Bank, formerly Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, to establish an efficient framework in a bid to bolster mutual investments between the two countries.

The MoU will enable business communities in the two countries to access various economic data, in addition to facilitating cooperation in investment and encouraging the establishment of joint ventures, Egypt’s minister of investment Sahar Nasr said in a statement on Wednesday.

The signing came on the sidelines of the Seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 7).
