Cairo – Mubasher: The National Authority For Tunnels (NAT) has selected SYSTRA France as an advisor for implementing the engineering specifications and design works for the extension project of Cairo Metro's second line from Shubra El Kheima station to Qalyoub city for EGP 50.2 million.
The line, financed by the state budget, will be extended along 8 kilometres over three stations at a cost of EGP 10 billion, Almal News reported, citing sources.
On Tuesday, the Egyptian National Railway (ENR) signed a five-year contract worth EUR 6.8 million with Austria's Blatter company to supply and examine the ENR’s sophisticated EM100U machine.
