Cairo-Mubasher: Egypt plans to carry out new petrochemical projects in 2016, which will produce around 3 million tonnes of petrochemicals, said the Ministry of Petroleum.
The production of polyvinyl chloride will be increased as a result of implementing the project of removing bottlenecks at the Egyptian Petrochemicals Co. In addition, the production of urea (fertilizers) will be increased on MOPCO expansion that has an investment of $1.9 billion, the ministry added.
