Egypt plans to invest EGP 7bn to develop neediest villages in FY19/20

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s government aims to inject investments worth EGP 7 billion to the neediest villages in the country in fiscal year 2019/2020, the country’s minister of planning Hala El-Saeed said in a statement on Thursday.

Sohag and Assiut accounted for 73% of the total investments allocated for the neediest villages, followed by Minya with 12.8%.

Housing sector made up 52% of total investments, followed by the health and education sectors with 34%.
