Cairo-Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt raised on Thursday its key interest rates, in line with a surge in inflation.
Interest rates were increased by 100 basis points to 11.75% from 10.75% in the previous meeting, the central bank said in an online statement.
Furthermore, the bank hiked its overnight lending rate to 12.75 % from 11.75%, the statement added.
