Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has raised allocations for supply commodities subsidies to EGP 89 billion this year from EGP 35 billion in 2014, Ahram Gate reported, citing the country’s prime minister Mostafa Madbouly as saying.
The Egyptian government has taken several procedures to filter ration card database in a bid to ensure that subsidies reach the targeted beneficiaries, Madbouly added in his speech to the parliament on Tuesday.
It is noteworthy that 1.8 million citizens have been re-enrolled in the supply commodities subsidies programme after being previously removed.
