Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt's investment and international cooperation minister Sahar Nasr said Monday that the World Bank (WB) has injected the first tranche of its loan for the development of Upper Egypt worth $125 million.
The Upper Egypt Local Development Program aims at boosting the investment and industrial development in the Sohag and Qena governorates, as well as developing the infrastructure of Upper Egypt, according to a statement.
The WB had approved on 29 September a $500 million loan for the development of Upper Egypt.
