Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt announced that a new batch of the 1,300 Russian train vehicles has arrived at Alexandria port.
The shipment includes 22 railway cars as part of a EUR 1.016 billion deal with Russia’s Transmashholding for the import and manufacture of 1,300 new railroad cars, the Minister of Transport, Kamel El-Wazir, said in a statement on Monday.
With the new batch, the total number of Russian railway cars shipped to Egypt during August reached 36.
Egypt’s largest railway agreement includes manufacturing 800 air-conditioned passenger cars, in addition to 500 third-class cars with dynamic ventilation system.
