Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has received the fourth tranche of a $12 billion three-year loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The North African country expects a visit from the IMF mission to review its economic reform programme before the disbursement of the fifth tranche, Egyptian Minister of Finance (MoF) Mohamed Maait said in a statement.
The IMF considers Egypt’s reform programme as a successful model, as the economy of the most populous Arab country has become more stable, Maait added.
In April, the IMF raised Egypt’s economic growth estimates to 5.2% for the current fiscal year.
