Cairo – Mubasher: Eight local and international firms presented their offers for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) to implement projects on a total area of four square kilometres.
The firms plan to carry out petrochemicals, car assembly, textile, and silicon projects, Alborsanews newspaper reported, citing SCZone deputy chairman Mahfouz Taha as saying.
The Egyptian body previously stated that it received 13 requests for carrying out projects on a total area of 6 square kilometres.
The SCZone will sign the final contract of building the Russian industrial zone during January 2018, Taha concluded.
