Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt's Minister of Transportation Galal Al-Saeed said Tuesday that Latvia put forward a proposal to supply and manufacture 300 vehicles, according to a statement.
The proposal includes manufacturing 150 vehicles in Latvia within 18 months as well as providing training for a group of Egyptian engineers on the technology specific to this manufacturing process.
Meanwhile, the rest of vehicles will be locally produced starting from the sixtieth month.
The government allocated EGP 2.5 billion for developing railroads, stations, and 1760 level crossings.
