Egypt records $1.4bn in foreign investment flows in Q1-FY15/16

Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt's Central Bank (CBE) said Wednesday that the country's net foreign investment flows (FDI) reached $1.4 billion in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2015/16.

The Net FDI flow to the country amounted to $1.3 billion in the similar period of the previous fiscal year.

CBE attributed the increase, mainly to the growth of investments flows related to either establishing new companies or capital increases by 48.5% reaching $1.1 billion, compared with $734.9 million for the similar period a year earlier.
