Egypt reopens Djoser Pyramid after being renovated at EGP 104m

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian prime minister Moustafa Madbouly has inaugurated Djoser Pyramid after being renovated at a total cost of EGP 104 million.

The restoration works of the world's oldest intact large-scale stone monument began in 2006, Madbouly said in a statement on Thursday.

As part of its efforts to preserve historical sites, the Egyptian government resumed the restoration works after being halted in 2013, he pointed out.
