Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Health reported 69 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, taking the tally to 779.
The ministry also announced the death of six coronavirus cases, including one Jordanian and five Egyptians, bringing the total deaths to 52, the spokesman of the health ministry Khaled Megahed said in a statement late on Wednesday.
In addition, a total of 179 cases recovered and were discharged from the quarantine.
According to the demographic data of COVID-19 infections revealed by the heath minister Hala Zayed, 61% of cases are male and 39% are female. Moreover, 22% of infections aged between 50 and 59, whereas 94% of deaths were more than 50 years old.
