Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian government paid back an installment of $720 million out of $3.55 billion due to the nineteen-creditor Paris club on Saturday, said Middle East News agency according to an official at the Central Bank of Egypt.
On the first of July, Egypt returned the $1 billion last installment of the Qatari deposit on the first of July.
The government plans to pay off $1.8 billion foreign debts during July 2016.
Egypt's total external debt stood at $53.4 billion by the third quarter of the fiscal year 2015/16, according the central bank's database.
