Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Finance (MoF) published on Sunday a list of eleven companies paying the highest taxes in the current tax season, which ended on 30 April 2017.
Amr El-Garhy, the Egyptian minister of finance, said that Arab Petroleum Pipelines Company (Sumed) came in first, followed by Elsewedy Electric and Orascom Construction.
Nestle came in the fourth place, followed by Samsung Electronics and Madinet Nasr Housing and Development.
Telecom Egypt (TE) was seventh, while United Gas Derivatives was eighth, followed by Johnson and Beheira Liquefied Natural Gas, with HSBC in the eleventh place.
The minister noted that the number of tax returns reached 2.391 million with a total value of EGP 21.3 billion, compared to EGP 15.22 billion in the last season, marking a 40% increase.
