Egypt's Handicrafts Show sales achieve EGP15m

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt's International Handicrafts Show recorded EGP 15 million sales during the eight-day event, said the head of handicrafts chamber, Mosaad Omran.

Export agreements were further concluded at $5 million during 18-25 November 2016, Omran added in a press release on Saturday.

The fair was a chance to create networks with the global market, provide business opportunities for exports, and direct sales/bilateral meetings with international buyers. It is the first event in the MEA region presenting the ability of local artisans, according to the fair's website.

Around 150 companies participated in this year's show, Omran added, revealing that the fair will be held annually and the number of exhibitors will increase to 600 ones next year.
