Egypt’s 1st nuclear plant arrangements in final stages - Minister

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian minister of electricity and renewable energy said that the Dabaa nuclear project has reached its final stages before signing the construction and operation contracts with the Russian side.

Mohamed Shaker said during his speech in a town hall meeting with the local community of Dabaa on Saturday that the first Egyptian nuclear power plant will include four units with a total capacity of 4800 megawatts.

The power plants will have no polluting or greenhouse gases emissions, the minister added, he also noted that the plant will have the highest international levels of security.
