Cairo – Mubasher: The consolidated financial statements of Egyptian Company for International Tourism Projects (Americana) on Thursday revealed that the firm turned a profit in the first quarter of 2018, against suffering losses in the year-ago period.
Americana posted a profit of EGP 33.7 million during the three-month period ended March 2018, against incurring a loss of EGP 1.09 million in Q1-17, according to a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
The firm’s consolidated revenues amounted to EGP 801.3 million in Q1-18, up from EGP 741.2 million in the comparative period of 2017.
Americana's standalone profits soared 176.6% to EGP 51.8 million during Q1-18, from EGP 18.7 million during the corresponding period in 2017.
