Cairo – Mubasher: Taqa Arabia, Alcazar Energy, and FAS Energy will launch solar power plants with a combined capacity of 150 megawatts and tie them up with Egypt’s national electricity grid in two weeks within the framework of the feed-in tariff projects in Aswan’s Benban solar complex.
Taqa Arabia’s solar power plant was completed by 97% with a production capacity of 50 megawatts, while almost 97% of Alcazar’s plant was established with a production capacity of 50MW, Alborsa News reported, citing a source.
Additionally, FAS has only five days left to link its 50-MW plant with the national grid, the source added.
Last week, Infinity Solar launched its 30-MW solar power plant and tied it up to the national grid.
By adding the three solar plants to the grid, total added capacity from the feed-in tariff projects in Benban reaches 180 MW.
