Egypt's CBE keeps Egypt pound stable against US dollar

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt maintained the Egyptian pound unchanged at 8.78 per dollar in an auction Thursday.

The bank sold $38.8 million to banks in its regular dollar sale auction.

During the period 13-17 March, the central bank Egypt offered three exceptional auctions at $200 million for the first two ones and $1.5 billion on Wednesday.

Earlier this week, CBE devalued the Egyptian pound to 8.85 per dollar from 7.73 per dollar.
