Egypt’s CIB appoints Hisham Ramez as managing director

Cairo-Mubasher: Egypt-based Commercial International Bank (CIB) has appointed former central bank governor Hisham Ramez as vice chairman and managing director, the lender said in a bourse statement Sunday.

Ramez will oversee the overall business of the bank and managing day-to-day operations and will be responsible for key business lines, the bank clarified.

Ramez was appointed as the central bank governor in March 2013 and submitted his resignation at the end of November 2015.

Earlier, Ramez was named as CIB’s vice chairman in December 2011, and was appointed as the chairman of Arab International Bank in April 2012.
