Egypt’s CPI edges up to 14.8% in July

Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt’s consumer price index (CPI) went up to 14.8% in July 2016, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

The country’s CPI inched up 0.7% or 191.1 points on yearly basis in July.

CAPMAS attributed the decline of CPI to the increasing prices of vegetables, fruits, eggs and marine products.

Egypt’s CPI stood at 14.8% in June 2016.
