Egypt’s FDI up 12% in 9M

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation said on that Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) in the country grew by 12% year-on-year, between July 2016 and March 2017.

During that period, FDI went up to $6.6 billion from $5.9 million in the same period of the year before, according to the ministry’s statement.

The ministry also noted that rising investments in Egypt has helped raise inflows to North Africa, as per the 2017 World Investment Report, issued by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
