Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) decided to extend the deadline for filing financial statements for companies listed on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) and those operating in non-banking financial sectors.
The deadline for submitting financial statements for the period ended 31 December 2019 was extended to 30 April 2020, while the deadline for financial statements for the period ending on 31 March 2020 was extended to 15 March 2020, FRA’s chairman Mohamed Omran said in a statement on Wednesday.
This move is part of the government’s efforts to help business amid the rising concerns over the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
