Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has generated EGP 618.3 million in revenues since the beginning of fiscal year 2019/2020.
The insurance sector contributed 41.2% or EGP 255 million to the total revenues generated during the year on the back of the growth in corporate insurance premiums, according to a statement on Wednesday.
Moreover, the capital market sector achieved revenues of EGP 178.6 million, representing 28.9% of the FRA’s revenues since July 2019, encouraged by the developments seen by the sector, including the introduction of new financial instruments.
Meanwhile, the mortgage and financial leasing sector reported revenues of EGP 24 million, while the micro-funding sector posted revenues of EGP 23 million.
In addition, the FRA is looking to achieve revenues of EG 400 million in the coming fiscal year.
