Egypt’s Faisal Islamic Bank revised Q1 financials show EGP 1bn profit

Cairo – Mubasher: The revised unaudited financial results for Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt during the first quarter of 2019 showed an increase of 33.6% in profits after taxes, when compared to the corresponding period a year ago.

Net profit after taxes registered EGP 1.04 billion from January to March 2019, compared to EGP 777.95 million during the same period in 2018.

Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt said in a recent filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) that it will disclose the audited financial results when completed.

In April, Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt revealed its standalone financial statements which showed a net profit of EGP 850.8 million in Q1-19 from EGP 777.9 million in Q1-18.
