Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt's General Authority for Investment (GAFI) announced Wednesday that around 544 companies were established in the first half of August with a total investment of EGP 1.028 billion, according to a press release.
The companies will provide 3,470 job opportunities for Egyptian citizens mostly, the release revealed.
Moreover, about 60 companies conducted capital hike at a total value of EGP 2.541 billion.
Earlier, the authority stated that direct foreign investments rose 13.7% during July-March 2015/16 to level up to $5.8 billion from $5.1 billion a year earlier.
