Egypt’s GDRs decline on London Bourse

Cairo-Mubasher: Global depository receipts (GDRs) saw  a slide on London Stock Exchange Wednesday.

EFG-Hermes’ GDRs led the decliners after going down by 6.4% to $1.96, peaking to $2.16 and bottoming out at $1.86 during the day. Its local stock also slipped by 2.2% to EGP 11.54 by 12:26pm Cairo time.

Commercial International Bank’s GDRs fell by 1.16% to $3.84, hitting intraday high and low at $3.97 and $3.82 respectively. Likewise, the bank’s stock declined 4.3% to EGP 42.06 at a turnover of EGP 50 million by 12:26pm Cairo time.

OTMT global depository receipts shed 3.8% to stand at $0.47 and the local stock also was 3.2% down to EGP 0.61 with a turnover of EGP 15.02 million.

Global Telecom’s GDRs dipped by 1.1% to $1.58, recording intraday high at $1.65 on Wednesday. The local stock fell by 0.99% to EGP 3 with a trading value of EGP 3 million by 12:29pm Cairo time.
