Egypt’s IDA manages state industrial land allocation

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s cabinet approved Wednesday amending the provision of Law no.7/1991 regarding the state’s demesne properties, a press release indicated.  

Upon the latest amendment, the Industrial Development Authority (IDA) is now responsible for using and allocating state lands apt for reclamation, implantation, and industrial development.  

In addition, New Urban Communities Authority is assigned to manage and allocate state lands suitable for newly established housing areas.

In FY16/17, the government appropriates EGP 1.4 billion for strengthen the facilities of industrial zones, compared with EGP 400 million during 2015/16.
