Egypt’s ISDF spends EGP 1.2bn on unplanned areas

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Informal Settlements Development Fund (ISDF) has spent EGP 1.2 billion of the amount allocated to the development of unplanned areas at the end of 2019, the fund’s executive director Khaled Siddiq stated Tuesday.

The spent amount was used to fund development projects in seven governorates, including Giza, Alexandria, Gharbia, and Dakahlia, Siddiq added.

The top official noted that the development plan for unplanned areas is set to be completed within 10 years, with total investments of EGP 350 billion.

Earlier in February, Siddiq revealed that the ISDF had allocated a budget of EGP 10.82 billion for 2020.
