Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt's consumer price index went up to 177.4 points in February from 175.5 points in January, higher 1.1%, said Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
The rise in Inflation is mainly ascribed to increasing prices of rice (+7.9%), poultry products (+4.7%), vegetables (+1.3%), cooking oil (+6%), sugar (+5.8%), and water consumption (+20.5%), CAPMAS pointed out.
Meanwhile, the group of ready-made cloths fell by 4%, the central agency added.
Egypt's annual inflation rate fell by 9.5% in February 2016, compared to 10.7% in January 2016, CAPMAS said.
