Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) is getting ready to build three factories in the new technological zones at the Upper Egypt governorates of Beni Suef and Assiut, telecoms minister Yasser El-Kady told Alborsa News.
The ministry aims at bolstering the nationalisation of the electronics industry over the coming period by setting up the new factories, he added.
The minister last said that the telecommunications sector’s strategy targets boosting contribution in the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) to 8% until 2025, as well as raising technological exports to $20 billion.
