Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) is expected to sign an agreement worth EUR 27 million with the European Union (EU) in August, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported, citing the head of human and community development sector at MSMEDA, Mohamed Massoud, as saying.
Under the deal, labour-intensive projects will be financed to create about 320,000 day-labour jobs for nearly 2 million people in a bid to combat illegal immigration, he added.
This grant will be directed to eleven governorates with the highest rates of illegal migration; namely, Fayoum, Assiut, Luxor, Minya, Kafr El-Sheikh, Menoufia, Qalyubia, Gharbiya, Dakahlia, Sharqiya, and Behira.
