Egypt’s MoF obligates firms to submit tax declarations online in 2020

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s finance minister Mohamed Maait has issued amendments to the executive regulations of income tax law as part of the government’s digital transformation plan, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Finance (MoF) on Monday.

Under the new amendments, individual companies will have to submit their tax declarations through the government services portal or any other portal selected by the MoF starting from 1 January 2020.

This step will streamline procedures to taxpayers, the statement added.

Legal entities are required to submit their tax declarations online, while individual taxpayers will be allowed to use this service.
