Egypt’s MoF provides EGP 4.5bn urgent allocations in April

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s minister of finance approved urgent allocations worth EGP 4.5 billion to several authorities in April.

Supplies

Finance minister Mohamed Maait approved a monthly allocation of EGP 4 billion to the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) during April.

Cotton industries

In addition, an amount of EGP 98.5 million has been allocated as a contribution to Cotton & Textile Industries Holding Company’s capital in order to provide the required liquidity to pay the dues of employees.

Media

The National Media Authority has also obtained EGP 391.6 million to meet its financial obligations towards its employees, while an amount of EGP 2.57 million has been allocated to Supreme Council of Culture.

Railways

Egypt’s finance minister also approved allocating EGP 56.5 million to Egyptian National Railways (ENR) to finance subsidies to student subscriptions in April.

In addition, an amount of EGP 17.36 million has been allocated to the Egyptian Company for Metro Management and Operation to finance subsidised student subscriptions last month.

Water & wastewater  

The allocations include EGP 62.5 million to Holding Company for Water and Wastewater (HCWW) in April.

Health insurance

Egypt’s finance minister also allocated EGP 61 million to Health Insurance Organization to support students, women breadwinners, and preschool children.
