Cairo – Mubasher: New Valley governor Mohamed Zamlout has unveiled a plan to build waste recycling plants in all of the governorate’s cities in a bid to dispose of waste in healthily and safely.
The scheme includes plants to recycle agriculture waste in order to produce compost, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported, citing Zamlout as saying.
The recycling of agricultural waste will help prevent field fire and secure financial benefits to farmers in an effort to encourage them to clean their farms, the governor added.
Following the Eid holiday, the New Valley governorate will sign a protocol with the environment ministry to launch the projected plants, Zamlout stated, giving no further details on the prproject's investments or its timeframe.
