Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade signed a protocol of cooperation with the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) to supply the former’s needs and support the country’s plan to make local bakeries use natural gas instead of diesel.
Under the protocol, the AOI will manufacture gas lighters for bakeries to utilise natural gas, according to a statement on Monday.
Earlier, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources signed a protocol with the Ministry of Local Development and the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade to supply bakeries with natural gas.
The first phase will supply 5,625 bakeries that use diesel as fuel with natural gas.
