Egypt's Zohr gas output grows to 2.7 bcfd – Minister

Cairo – Mubasher: Natural gas output at Egypt’s Zohr offshore field has risen to 2.7 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd), the country’s petroleum minister Tarek El-Molla said in a statement on Wednesday.

This output level is reached four months earlier than scheduled, El-Molla added.

Currently, there are twelve producing wells in the largest gas field in the Mediterranean, he noted.

The current production level is eight times the output two years ago when Zohr field started production in December 2017, the minister revealed.
