Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian exports of agricultural products surged to more than five million tonnes since the start of this year, the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation said.
Farm exports totalled 5,365,635 tonnes in the period between 1 January 2019 and 18 December 2019, rising by 238,743 year-on-year, Head of Central Department of Agricultural Quarantine Ahmed al-Attar said in a weekly report.
During the reported period, Egypt’s citrus exports were 1,772,281 tonnes, while the North African nation exported 842,687 tonnes.
Egyptian exports included onion, garlic, grape, mango, strawberry, cucumber, pomegranate, and aubergine, the weekly report showed.
