Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian exports of agricultural crops slipped 0.7% during the period from September 2018 to February 2019, recording 1.91 million tonnes at a valued of $1.14 billion.
Arab countries have dominated 41% of the values of these exports during the six-month period of fiscal year 2018/2019 with around $414.924 million, according to a report by the Agricultural Export Council.
The Arab world has also acquired 48% of total exports with around 913,719 tonnes in the same period, the council added.
Egypt has exported around 393,880 tonnes of crops to the European Union (EU) at a value of $291.57 million, the report said.
Moreover, the North African state exported around 384,000 tonnes of crops to the non-EU European countries at a value of $176.840 million.
Meanwhile, Egyptian agricultural exports to Asian countries valued at $108.32 million through 195,080 tonnes.
Egypt also exported around 13,460 tonnes of crops valued at $10.41 million to the African states and about 10,230 tonnes valued at $12.28 million to North and South America and Australia.
