Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s annual core inflation rose to 8.6% month-on-month in September from 8.8%.
The monthly core inflation dipped to 0.1% last month, versus 0.6% in August, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said in a statement on Wednesday.
Earlier this day, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) posted that the North African nation’s annual inflation fell to 15.4% year-on-year in September from 32.9%.
The consumer price index (CPI) increased 2.6% month-on-month, recording 302.7 points last month.
It is worth noting that the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) projected the North African nation’s inflation rate to reach 10% in fiscal year 2018/2019.
