Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s annual core inflation rose to 8.9% month-on-month in October from 8.6%.
The monthly core inflation recorded 1% last month, versus 0.1% in September, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said in a recent statement.
The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) also posted that the North African nation’s annual inflation fell to 17.5% year-on-year in October from 31.8%.
The consumer price index (CPI) increased 2.8% month-on-month, recording 311.1 points last month.
