Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt said the country’s core consumer price index (CPI) annually rose by 8.41% in March, compared to 7.50% a month earlier, said the Central Bank of Egypt on Sunday.
The monthly core CPI stood at 1.62%, up from 0.88% in February, the bank of Egypt added.
Meanwhile, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) earlier reported on Sunday that CPI rose by 1.4% to 180 points in March from 177.4 points in February. But annually, the rate declined by 9.2% in March, compared to 9.5% in February.
