Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s annual core inflation dropped to 8.5% month-on-month in July from 10.9%.
The monthly core inflation edged up 0.6% last month, versus 1.6% in June, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said in a statement on Thursday.
Earlier this day, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) announced that the North African nation’s annual inflation fell to 13% year-on-year in July 2018 from 34.2%.
The consumer price index (CPI) increased by 2.5% month-on-month, recording 289.9 points last month.
